[WHAT] The Chicago Urban Art Society is lending their awesome creative space for a blow out New Years Celebration. Hailing from Toronto, the headliners Keys n Krates have been reinventing the remix game and are getting wold wide recognition for it. The trio is made up of a world champion turntablist, a dope drummer and a soulful keyboardist that work together to bring us some incredible live remixes. The DJ line up for this night is repping Chicago strong and providing us with a blend of hip hop and electronic sounds. Check out the space and some of these DJs at work after the jump.

[WHAT] Come celebrate Black Wednesday with Paul Johnson, one of Chicago’s revered House DJ’s who will be performing alongside the Ghetto Division crew plus some other chicago House/Electro natives. The House music scene was born out of the streets of Chicago rooted in deep funk, soul and latin music. Now with so many sub-genres House is too broad of a genre and DJ’s are specializing in specific styles of House. Each of these DJ’s has their own take of House so while you can expect some sweet disco, club and glitch from Ghetto Division, you’ll also hear crisp bass and hard drum tracks from Paul Johnson along with some great synth/juke/jungle from Starfoxxx.
